'The Flood' are a strange collection of, things. Starting off as small
brain-sized parasite things they prey on victims such as Humans or Covenant. Seeing you're a Cyborg they cannot affect you
as they work by attching themselves to the victims brain. Instead they just jump on you and explode, not doing enough damage
to make Master Chief bat an eyelid.
The Flood use a collection of weapons both Human and Covenant so it would be pointless giving a run down of the weapons again. Intead this page will mainly give screenshots and tips on
the Flood.
Tip 1. The Flood with Whip/Flail arms are VERY
annoying. One shot will reduce your shield to nothing and a second shot can reduce you to nothing as well, they are similar
to Elites using melee attacks but slightly stronger, try to kill them at long range.
Tip 2. Simply, use a shotgun. One shotgun shell will kill any flood annoyance plus
most Covenant ones too.
Tip 3. Don't use melee attacks if you can help it they have a habit of fighting back,
unlike Grunts.
Tip 4. Use your flashlight it temporarily blinds them (as shown below), giving
you more time to attack.... clever!
Tip 5. The big 'Brain' shaped ones (they sort of waddle) that explode into lots
of little parasite things are good at blowing up, knocking down your shield and leaving you vulnerable. The best thing to
do is shoot them at long range. If possible try to get them whilst they're in a group of thier mates, shoot them, they blow
up taking thier allies with them or alternativly sending them flying.
Tip 6. Watch above you. The fllod have anasty habit of
jumping very high into the air landing by you and killing you. This works well as they are not expected that way. Make sure
you look up and BAM drop them out the sky.
